Mushrooms At Flagstaff Site Plus More

Our site is near Flagstaff, AZ.  We have had rain for the last few days.  The "mushrooms" are growing all around us.   Squirrels and chipmunks are finding a feast out here.

There are "Wild Mushrooms"  here at our site in Falstaff.  Mushroom collecting is very widespread.  There are many to pick from.  There are many kinds to chose from.  There are about 250 are considered poisonous .  There are that are edible.

A couple of things you should know never eat a wild mushroom raw.  Plus never eat a wild mushroom unless you are  very sure it is edible.   Read Basic Mushrooming  for more info at this site.
If trying for the first time eat only a few cooked bites.

There are 100's of edible a spices.  Just double check the kind you have.

The squirrels and chipmunks have found lunch out here in this vast desert-forest area in Arizona.

I fell in love with these seats that some camper made seats out of a log, that was by the campfire.  A fantastic idea for some old beat up log.

Football time.  Hope you enjoy this posting.  Kitfoxgal
