The park was a gift from the late Lodi farmer, who turned philanthropist William G. Mickie, some 258-acres. It is a very popular attractions in San Joaquin County. There is a museum, Japanese Garden, a Fun Town and many sites for large group to have picnics.

My niece, Betty Jo, has organized a "Family and Friends Reunion" for the last 3 years, at Mickey Grove Park. DesertDale and Kitfoxgal has made it for the first time this year. There was some 75 people there.
They had music, dunk tank, horse shoes, slip and slide, and of course a Bar B Que, with my nephew, Lyn, was the cook.
This happens to be the "Dirty Bunch", Sue, Vera, Art, Betty Carol.
