Hello folks.
We are on a business trip to Bishop. Plus do that needed job of washing.
As I was taking care of my business DesertDale found this, fantastic "laundromat" a RV Park at the south end of Bishop. It was small but very interesting site.
Bishop is in in Inyo County, California. it was named after Samuel Bishop. He was one of the first settlers in the area.
Then you don't want to miss the home of Owens Valley Radio Observatory.
It is the largest University-operated radio observatory in the world.
Owens Lake was after named Richard Owens. He was a member of John C. Fremont's 1845 exploration party. The party also included Kit Carson and Ed Kern. Then the valley became known as "The Owens Valley".
(thanks to Google for the photo and info).
What a joyous day we had in Bishop, even if we had work to do. That was one time I had fun doing the wash.
