Coos Bay Adventure

Coos Bay was established in 1853,  it was know then as Empire City.
Coos County is a county located in Oregon. In 2010 the population was 63,043. The county seat is Coquille.
Here is a good site to get more info on Coos Bay.  It is very interesting site.

These two little Harbor Seals DesertDale  took from our viewing area on shore  at Face Rock State Park.  You can see the Coquille River Lighthouse also in the area..

These California Seals  are known for their intelligence, playfulness, and noisy barking.  Their color ranges from chocolate brown in males to a lighter, golden brown in females.

The Steller Sea Lions are also known as Northern Sea Lion.    they are near the point of threatened species of sea lions in the Northern Pacific.

This is just a view of how far DesertDale was away from the seals, out on the rock.  They where very  loud.

I was going to post this a few days ago.  It looks like I forgot.  Old Age has really got to me.   I think this is the second time I done it this trip.  Hope you still enjoy it.  Kitfoxgal
