Dave Deacon Camp Site

Adams-McGill Reservoir is located on the Kirch Wildlife Management Area, bought   1959 from Ervin Hendrix who purchased it from the Adams-McGill Company in 1943. The area was mainly purchased for its wetland values for waterfowl. (info from goggle)

Mr. Deacon's son Dave Deacon love the camp site, as he camped here often.
Dave Deacon died in 1983 at the very young age of 22.  Dave's parent's went  to the correct authority,  told them if they would name the campgrounds  Dave Deacon , after their son, they would pay for all improvements on it.
This info was taken from a the Camp Host.

There are many ponds to fish in, plus launch your boat.  These are just a sample  of the different ponds.
Here are just a few of the different reservoirs around the area.
Just one of the sites to launch your boat.
  This is another reservoir.
